Zeroth Bridge Opens Geek Booking

On Tuesday 2 September 2026, Zeroth (元点机器人) opened booking for Bridge (小桥), a compact biped aimed at developers, and put OpenBridge online as the Skill Hub plus SDK layer. Business Wire via Las Vegas Sun stamped the English release at 03:52 PT the same morning. AI Insider’s Greg Bock filed a same-day read. Mainland detail on joints and Geek pricing landed on 163 / 新智元 at 16:57 Beijing. Parent company on Zeroth’s About pages is Suzhou JoyIn / 苏州乐享智能科技; CEO is Renjie Guo / 郭仁杰; founding year is 2024 in Suzhou. That is a launch-day booking window with a developer program, not a factory takt claim and not a measured home-duty report.

Bridge Geek Edition lists at RMB 12,888 and launches at RMB 8,888 from 2 September. Home fabric-shell pricing is still TBD. Booking sits on zeroth-openbridge.com. The same site also surfaces a “Founding access: CNY 5,999” line. FIRGELLI will not equate 5,999 with the Geek 8,888 launch without a clear SKU map. Treat those as two different price tags until Zeroth prints which package each one buys.

Body numbers. Still a thin sheet.

Company claims put Bridge at 88 cm tall and about 13 kg. Pre-launch LeiPhone coverage said 12 kg. That one-kilogram mismatch is on the record; FIRGELLI will not average it away. Arms are described in the 30–40 cm band with two-finger grippers on a bipedal base. That is enough to mark the class: short lab biped, not a warehouse full-size, not a wheeled bar pourer, not a station guide like Singapore’s Olly. It is also not a payload at reach. Mass and height without a continuous wrist or gripper force curve do not tell you what the machine can hold after twenty minutes of teleop.

Missing from every English and Chinese wire FIRGELLI checked today: a DoF table, rated payload, battery watt-hours and measured runtime, continuous-duty torque, which joints carry the advertised ~50 N·m modules, and any independent measurement of the backflip or jog demos. EDU add-ons are claimed as higher compute, lidar, depth camera, IMU, multimodal gripper, and UWB. Those are option names, not acceptance tests. Until Zeroth publishes a joint map and a thermal method, treat EDU as a shopping list.

Joint claims need a baseline and a duty.

Most of the actuator language is in the 新智元 write-up, not the English Business Wire. Zeroth claims self-developed modules around 50 N·m with high power density, roughly 15 percent mass cut, and about 20 percent higher peak torque density versus an unnamed permanent-magnet BLDC baseline. Torque control is claimed within 3 percent with backlash compensation. Built-in temperature sensors and magneto-thermal co-simulation are part of the brochure stack. Read that carefully. An unnamed baseline makes the percentage gains non-comparable. Peak torque density is not continuous torque at a stated temperature. ≤3 percent torque error with backlash compensation is a lab claim until someone prints the test load, the sampling rate, and the joint that was measured.

FIRGELLI’s bar for a developer biped is boring and useful. Continuous hip and knee torque under stop-and-turn. Gripper force at full arm extension. Pack temperature after a thirty-minute mocap session. Stop distance when a person steps into the path. Which joints actually get the 50 N·m modules, and which get smaller ones. None of that is on today’s sheet. A “world’s first AI-native” slogan does not fill those rows. That phrase is marketing. Leave it there.

Demos are demos. Builder seats are inventory.

Launch-day video and stills show walk, jog, backflip, dance, and mocap / VR teleop. Label those as demos. A backflip in a cleared studio is not proof of home-duty balance next to a coffee table. Dance timing is not continuous thermal headroom. Teleop latency in a scripted clip is not a published round-trip number under Wi-Fi congestion. Useful questions for a lab buyer stay simpler. How many minutes before a joint derates. Whether the two-finger gripper holds a screwdriver after a bump. Whether OpenBridge skills survive a power cycle without a reflash.

OpenBridge is framed as a Skill Hub plus SDKs. The Builder Program shortlists 500 applicants, with 200 complimentary seats and 300 priority Geek Edition allocations. That is a channel and inventory plan for early developers. It is not a reliability metric. Complimentary seats can seed repositories and Discord channels; they do not prove Bridge can run an overnight data-collection shift without a human reset. If you are buying for a university lab, ask Zeroth for the continuous-duty curve and the gripper force sheet before you spend the Geek launch price on a calendar promise.

Where this sits next to other compact bipeds.

Bridge’s 88 cm / ~13 kg band sits near other short developer bipeds, not near full-size factory pilots. Compare apples carefully. Singapore LTA’s Olly trial measured about 1.27 m on a Unitree-class body with unpublished torque. Galbot’s Hong Kong shops are wheeled retail pickers. AI2’s AlphaBot 2 bar install is a 1.8 m wheeled dual-arm with a catalog 4 kg per arm. Bridge is none of those. It is a Suzhou startup’s first public Geek booking for a short biped with self-claimed 50 N·m modules and an open skill hub. Parent JoyIn / 苏州乐享智能科技 sits behind Zeroth on the About pages at zeroth0.com and zeroth-openbridge.com; keep the brand and the parent straight when you file the PO.

What a factory or home buyer can take from 2 September is narrow. Booking opened. Geek launch price is RMB 8,888 against a RMB 12,888 list. Home shell price is TBD. Founding-access CNY 5,999 is unclear against Geek. Joint claims are company-side, mostly Chinese-language, and missing independent numbers. Demos show motion theatre. OpenBridge and the Builder Program are the real product thesis: sell a light biped into developer hands with a skill marketplace. That thesis only holds if the joints survive repeated teleop and the hub ships skills that do more than replay a dance clip.

If you are stacking Bridge against other short bipeds on this desk, hold it to the same bar. A named duty. A published force or payload. A measured thermal or runtime limit. Tuesday opened Geek booking and an SDK story. It did not publish the continuous joints.
