What it is
T800 is EngineAI’s fourth humanoid after SA01, SE01, and PM01. The production redesign shrank the show prototype by 12 cm and 10 kg, which is the rare time a company made a humanoid smaller on purpose. The official press walk — white plates, blue chest light, T800 on the pec, park path, skyline behind — is the robot I want people to picture. The olive-armor superhero crouch in the same Newsfile set is cinema. The octagon at WRC is a bout.
EEO (21 August 2026) and 36Kr’s Photon Planet floor piece put T800 on stairs/slopes, dexterous-hand grasp/throw, and on-device VLA, and they put PM01 on crowd patrol at 1.38 m / 24 DOF. Two robots, one booth. Awaken sits on top of both as software.

What it can actually do
Publicly: walk, crouch, fight another T800 in a cage, climb the demo stairs, throw what the hand will hold, run whatever Awaken is this week. Company: start load/unload at Luxshare. I have not seen a Luxshare video with a cycle time, a reject rate, or a union steward. The cage is real theater. Theater is not a shift.
Flaws
The prototype/production split is a landmine. Half the internet still has 1.85 m T800 cards. If your RFQ uses those, you are buying a ghost. The four-tier SKU (base / eco / Pro / Max in the Chinese launch) means “T800” is a family word — ask which one. 450 N·m is a peak, not a rated work torque. And a robot named after a terminator, sold with an octagon, will keep attracting the wrong buyer: people who want a fight, not a cell.
Real-world usefulness
Useful as a full-size EngineAI body if you already live in that SDK and you can inspect the 1.73 m production unit, not a 2025 teaser. Useful as a show fighter. Unproven as a Luxshare-grade labor unit until someone not on EngineAI’s payroll publishes hours. If you wanted the compact open body, that is still PM01.
