Independent’s WRC photo package from 19–23 August 2026 shows an R1 in a branded vest on the Beiren Etrong floor and quotes a starting price of 39,900 yuan (about $5,900). That is a show-week price quote, not a reason to treat our 121 mm height cell as real. This is still the R1 review, not a G1 IPO recap.

Name soup (R1 vs G1 vs H1 vs Fourier G1). A profile height that is physically impossible if read as 121 millimeters. The stencil FAQ did not know which robot it was on.
Real-world usefulness
Only after you open Unitree’s own R1 page and quote the configuration you will actually receive. For the compact developer biped most people mean, that is still the Unitree G1 review.
